Hatha

Perfect for brand new students! The word “hatha” comes from the Sanskrit terms “ha” meaning sun and “tha” meaning moon. Hatha yoga is the practice of harmonizing the body’s inner currents until they are in perfect balance. Free the spiritual elements of the mind through physical poses, breathing techniques and meditation! Each teacher brings a unique approach to integrating the teachings of different styles creating an eclectic and integrative experience.

This class brings recuperation to your organs, nervous system and consciousness. Maintaining long holds in the various postures while using props and breathing techniques to allow the breath, body and spirit to open.

Candlelight Stretch

This deep stretch class moves at a gentle, soothing pace designed to encourage an inward focus. Great way to bring an end to the week.

Mindfulness Meditation

Mindfulness meditation (Vipassana, or Insight meditation) is a simple practice of learning how to cultivate our most valuable natural resource: wise, compassionate awareness. Mindfulness has the power to heal the mind and free the heart.. Through careful – and caring -- observation of the continuous changes in our bodies, emotions and minds, we become more able to align ourselves with the constant flow of change that is our life. We are more able to access our own immense creativity and courage, so we can skillfully navigate the many twists and turns on our journey, and contribute lovingly to our world.
Mindfulness meditation was taught more than 2500 years ago by the Buddha as a means to alleviate suffering and attain freedom. The methods of this path have been tested and refined by countless practitioners across the centuries and are at the heart of all Buddhist teachings. In this spirit, this weekly drop-in class is offered on a donation basis. Beginners and experienced practitioners are welcome.

Vinyasa Mixed Level

This class will dive deep into all asanas with a non-aggressive approach and moderate pace. These classes offer a complete journey for the body and mind from beginner to advanced Yogi. Movements are fluid and there is a focus of correct alignment, which creates stability and ease within each posture. Advanced poses will be given in these classes and modifications for the less experienced student.
